Left over Bread slices - 8 to 9 nos
Big Onions - 2 nos
Green CHilli - 2 nos
Ginger - 1 inch pc
Cooking Oil - 4 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Asfoetida - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
Salt - to taste
Corriander leaves - to garnish
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup ( optional )
Shred the bread slices to medium pcs.
Chop finely the big onions , green chillies and ginger.
Heat Oli in a pan and add mustard seeds .
When they pop, add curry leaves, chopped onions, green chillies and ginger
When the mixture is golden brown, add turmeric and asfoetida .
Saute for 1 min and add salt as required
Saute again for a min and add the bread pcs .
mix well for 2 mins , sprinkle a hand full of water , mix again n close lid
Cook this in sim wid clsed lid for 2 mins.
Mix well, garnish with corriander leaves and grated coconut ( optional)
Close lid and let it stand for 5 mins and den serve hot.
