Ingredients for Potato Sadam Recipe
Potatoes - 3 nos(medium cut into cubes)
Rice(white rice/basmati rice) - 1 1/2 glass
Water - 3 glass
Onion - 3 nos(chopped)
Curry leaves - 1 handful
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Asafoetida powder(kayampodi) - A pinch
Salt - As reqd
Mustard seeds(kaduku) - A pinch
Preparation Method of Potato Sadam Recipe
1)Pour water in a vessel and add cleaned rice.
2)Close the lid and cook for 10 minutes in light medium fame.
3)Heat oil in a pan and put mustard seeds. When it crackles put onion and curry leaves. Saute it.
4)Lower the flame, add potato cubes, little water for boiling and salt.
5)After potato is cooked well, add turmeric powder, chilly powder and kayam podi.
6)Simmer in low flame until water dries up completely.
7)Add cooked rice into pan and mix well.
