Mechanical Technician (Crane Group)




Responsibilities

Daily maintenance of cranes including preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul (MRO) as well as set up system processes
Perform with high safety and environmental awareness under the supervision of Technical Officers and Engineers
Ensure consistent good housekeeping
Requirements

NITEC in any engineering discipline, but Mechanical and/or Mechatronics preferred
Minimum 1 year's mechanical maintenance experience
Possess crane operating and maintenance knowledge is preferred
Possess good hands-on skills and mechanical knowledge
Able to do welding, gas cutting and good knowledge in gearbox, bearing, wire rope, alignment, etc
Able to understand and interpret mechanical drawings
Effectively bilingual and basic computer skills
Positive attitude and able to communicate well with all levels

Mechanical Engineer (MSP)



Responsibilities

Coordinate effectively with various levels of employees to ensure a smoother production with higher efficiency.
Identify and initiate measures to improve production methods and equipment performance on productivity/quality/cost/ESH aspect.
Involve in preventive, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance of the equipment, including providing technical advice on troubleshooting
Involve in planning and co-coordinating shutdown maintenance activities to ensure proper and safe implementation of the activities, including ensuring the activities are within budget and on schedule
Manage or involve in mechanical related or cross functional projects as assigned
Ensure KPI targets are met from safety, timely servicing, quality, reliability and cost perspective
Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics
Minimum 2 years' relevant working experience
Possess knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Independent with ability to work in a cross-functional team

Maximize the plant availability & productivity through effective team work for activities such as size change, roll or pass change, sampling testing, process monitoring and in-process inspection
Setup guides & rolls (preparation of size change)

Operate the rolling mill and auxiliary equipment
Participate in process improvement & 5S projects
