| Some Tips For Writing Write short, crisp, simple sentences. In today’s world that’s changing at the click of a mouse, people like quick-and-easy reading.
Avoid repetition of words and phrases. Read through your article to see if you can remove some words to convey the same meaning
Separate your article into paragraph and use side-headings to make your article more readable. Make the side-headings bold. Use
Write in bold, italics and underline to highlight important words and ideas. of paragraphs to make it more readable. Use new paragraphs for dialogue, new ideas, etc.
Check to see if your article is built around one or few main points and not digressing from them.
When writing a short story, combine dialogue with narrative. Take the reader right into the action. Avoid long paragraphs of description or narrative.
Write. Revise. Rewrite. No matter how good you think a piece of writing is, it can be improved. So work on it before submitting it. | |
